Hello everyone and happy Tuesday to you all.  Here's the latest one, needle felted with with a rich blue Corriedale roving into a sugar bowl.  This little blue bowl says Rossini Country french on the bottom.  It has two different french country side designs around the bowl.  It mesures 4 1/2" wide and 3" high.  This is a sweet little pincushion to keep by your side while doing your needle crafts.

Welcome to Pincushion Tuesday again folks.  This is a bigger pincushion, wich was needle felted  with a red BFL roving into a vintage Burleigh ware compote dish.  It mesures about 6 1/2" wide from each handle and about 3" high.  it really is a nice size to hold all your pins and needles.  I think this is one of my favs so far, because of the antique cream color of the dish.

HAND EMBROIDERED BIRD APPLIQUE ON WOOD FRAME

I have a bunch of these little embroidered appliques to make a quilt with, but I know I'll never get to it.  So I thought I would use them for something else, starting with this darling little bird.  This little birdie is a hand embroidered felt applique wich was the perfect size to insert in this wooden frame. The frame mesures 13" X 8 1/2" and 1/2" thick.  It also has a sturdy gold plated hook to hang your coat, hat, keys etc.......

PINCUSHION TUESDAY

Hello my pincushion followers, here is a miniature teapot that I thought was quite cute and even cuter once I needlefelted a brown alpacca wool into it.  It mesures about 4 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" wide from handle to spout.  It has little pink flowers painted on the front and is in very good condition. I don't know where it comes from but it is a darling pincushion.

SPOT DYED WOOL ,RUG HOOKING OR WOOL APPLIQUE

I thought I would show you different types of wool that I have for sale this morning.  First up is spot dyed wool that I dyed myself using magic carpet dyes and Christine Little's dye formulas. I use 100% wool from Rebecca Erb wich is very soft to the touch. These colors are very rich and deep shades.
The spot dyes are in  1/4 yards, mesuring at least 28"X16" in size and some are a bit bigger.  If you would like a smaller piece, it can be cut into 1/8 yard and half the price of the fat 1/4.  These are beautiful colors for backrounds, flowers, stained glass or whatever you can see in these colors for rug hooking.  If there is a particular color you like in this picture, just email me and I will send you an individual photo of it to get a closer look of the spot dye.

I can cut the wool into strips for you free of charge #3-#8 cut.  Please specify wich cut you would like.  Please allow one extra day so I can cut the strips up for you.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE

V day is almost over here for me since I create my blog in the evening after work.  So I hope you had a great day out there.  Here is a brooch that I made last night using recycled zipper and wool material that I had on hand.

And a sneak peak of a little mat that hopefully I can finish tonight.  Once its all done, I will insert it into something and post it for sale on my selling blog, so keep watching for the end results.

PINCUSHION TUESDAY

Here it is on time this week, pincushion Tuesday is here and I have bigger pincushion tonight.  This lovely one was needle felted with a jewel tone blue BFL wool. The creamer is made from J&G Meakin England and is in very good condition for its age.  It has a pretty pattern of blue flowers on it and mesures about 6" long from spout to handle and about 3 1/2 " high.  Remember my pincushions can be removed from the creamer if you would like to use it.

HOOKED MAT ON WOODEN DISPLAY CASE

I bought this wooden box a few months ago and thought it would be nice to hook a rug and put it on the glass top, and use this box to display  antique rug hooks or whatever else you could think of.   It has a drawer to  keep your dyes and books.  Just and idea of what you could use this box for.  It has potential for anything.  The wooden box is stained and has a slight chip on the bottom right corner of the case, but I think it hads caracter to the box.  The display case mesures 15" long, 10" wide and 9" high at the back and slopes down to 7" high in the front.
I hooked the rug on linen with wool material #6 cut and added a shiny black bead for the birds eye and one red bead for the only berry that was left on the branch.  The rug mesures 12 3/4"X 8 1/2"
