HOOKED PRIM TABLE RUNNER

Here is my latest table runner. I really do enjoy making them and like the antique looking colors in this one. The table mat is hooked on linen with #6 cut wool. Dimensions are 15"X10" with black binding all around. I was being crative today while trying to capture the true colors of the mat in the outdoor lighting so here it is.

PUNCHNEEDLE AND HOOKED CANDLE CUFFS

I hooked up a few primitive candle cuffs last week to put on my selling blog. They mesure roughly 11"X4", hooked on Linen and covered at the back with wool material. They are great to put around the larger candles to cover up the black spots once they have started to burn down and don't look as clean anymore. They are also great just to give that prim hooked look to your candles. The cuff ties at the back with wool yarn and there is a picture to show what that looks like (Prim stars cuff).

HOOKED MINI PICTORIAL 5"X7"

I can now post my mini pictorial that I did last week since I gave hubby his gift this morning. He was brought up in Labrador and often played pond hockey and yes he's a Toronto fan. He was really touched by this little mat. This is a hooked piece adapted from a picture I found while Googleing for ideas. Its hooked with mainly #3,#4 cut wool.

PINCUSHION TUESDAY

Its 10pm here and I"m finally able to post my pincushion. We had trouble with our Internet provider all evening and it was to slow to download even a picture. Explorenet can be very frustrating at times. So before I go to bed, I'll introduce you to my latest pincushion. This white Mayfair Dinner Ware sugar bowl has blue peonies and its hard to see in the photo, but the bottom half of the bowl has a basket weave pattern all around it. It was needle felted with gorgeous blue wool roving.

Well I was finally able to get to a hookin today with my buddies and spent a great morning with these talented gals and what a great spread for lunch. There was homemade chicken stew and chilie and sweets. Mary Filmore's hot cross buns where delightfull. Thank you to all of you who put everything together and once again it was a nice time seeing everyone.
I thought I would post some pics of todays hookin. I hope the gals don't mind that I'm posting their mats but they were all so nice to look at and my friggin camera does not do the mats justice. I"m sorry I don't know all of your names.

I will post more tomorrow
